Dismissing the kits from his mind, Skypaw realized he had other things to do. Once again, searching the camp, Skypaw was now wondering where his mentor was, Jayclaw.
Jayclaw had just become a warrior about a moon ago, but he became an apprentice at an old age. The day after, Skypaw became an apprentice, and Jayclaw became his mentor. They worked well together, agreed on mostly everything, except for sometimes Jayclaw could be quite boring and uncaring. They were a moon into training and Skypaw had expected to become a warrior any day now.
Jayclaw appeared out of nowhere, like he always did, and padded up to Skypaw, ready to train.
"Hello Skypaw, are you ready?"
Skypaw nodded, "Yep, what are we doing today?" It was something different almost every time, and Jayclaw never gave him any notice ahead of time of what they were doing.

Skypaw awoke as the bright sunlit hit his black and white pelt. It was an early leaf-bare morning, frost still on the ground from the night before. He yawned, his pure white teeth shining through the tree's leaves in his apprentice cat den.
"Shut that kittypet mouth of yours, Skypaw." A small golden shecat teased. Her bright green eyes danced with his, making him dizzy with love every time he looked at her.
"And your eyes aren't a distraction, Dewpaw?" He mewed back.
"Why are you in here, anyways? You ARE the medicine cat apprentice. And these are the apprentice trees, not the medicine cat's tree. Just to let you know..."
The shecat's playful smile dulled down to a serious gaze.
"I...I missed you Skypaw." Dewpaw replied looking down, her face blushing with humiliation.
"Hm...I-I guess it's alright, just this once... But you better leave before Berrylimb finds out, she doesn't approve of you sleeping in here!" He mewed quickly as he could, knowing t
